It was established in 2012/13 Academic year with three departments (Plant Sciences, Natural Resources Management and Animal Science) under Mettu University and 2014/15 promoted to Gambella University. Currently, the college is running nine undergraduate and 2 postgraduate programs. In the 2018/19 academic year, the college accepted 450 undergraduate and 50 postgraduate students.
The college is situated in main campus of Gambella University which found in Gambella Town New Land Special area with expanding teaching and research facilities as well as student services and administrative buildings. We provide intensive practical oriented teaching, research and community services activities. We conducting interdisciplinary researches in selected thematic areas and provide community outreach and technology transfer services almost in all agro-ecologies of the region.
In its research and community engagement endeavours, the college works in close collaboration and partnership with academic, research and development institutions.
